HYGIENE AND SAFETY AT  LA FERME DE L’OUDON

Is it safe to stay at Ferme de L’Oudon?

At La Ferme de L’Oudon, we are lucky to be able to offer fully individual and independent accommodations nestled in the heart of our magnificent Normandy countryside. All of our accommodation has an independent entrance leading directly to the outside of the farm building, thus preventing our guests from crossing paths and limiting the risk of physical contact. In addition, all our accommodations have either a garden, a patio or a private terrace for a stay in complete independence and privacy. Enjoy a stay in the great outdoors in complete serenity.

However, in order to limit the risks of infection linked to the virus, rest assured that our entire team has implemented new hygiene and distancing measures to ensure you a safe stay. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to consult our information note on this subject. You’ll find all the answers to your questions.

ACCESS, ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES

What time are the arrivals?

The arrival for the Rooms and Suites takes place between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The arrival for the Guest houses takes place between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

When and how to notify of my arrival?

We ask our guest to let usknow  in advance of their approximate time of arrival. This will allow us to make ourselves available to welcome you and give you the key to your accommodation.

Thank you for contacting us by phone 1 hour before your arrival at 02.31.20.31.81. We will then give you the code to access the property.

Is it possible to request an early arrival or a late departure?

Unfortunately It is not possible to request an early arrival or a late departure. Indeed, the time spent cleaning the previous tenants is limited and we must have the time to re-prepare (clean and disinfect) the accommodation for your arrival.

What to do in case of late arrival after 8pm?

Please let us know in advance by phone at 02.31.20.31.81 or mail so that we can organize the terms of your arrival. Late arrivals are on request only and subject to availability. We don’t do check-ins any more after 10 p.m.

Is parking free of charge?

Yes, private and secure parking by digital code is available on site free of charge without prior reservation.

What time should the accommodation be vacated on the day of departure?

All accommodation must be vacated by 11am maximum on the day of your departure.

DINNER

What type of catering is offered on site?

We offer a Table d’Hôtes service. Good to know: we do not have a restaurant.

What is a Table d’Hôtes?

The Guest Table meets specific criteria which are as follows:

-Offer a single menu (without the possibility of choosing starters, dishes or desserts)
-Offer a cuisine made up of local ingredients cooked by the owner (s) of the premises
-Offer a reception capacity limited to that of accommodation

The Table d’Hôtes at the Ferme de L’Oudon

We offer a dinner service served by the Chef in your accommodation around 8 p.m.

Our “Dîner du terroir” consists of:

A gazpacho or a velouté + a simmered casserole dish to share + cheese + dessert at the price of 36 € / person *

This service is subject to availability and upon reservation at least 48 hours in advance.

We also offer a “Normandy Dinner Board” service consisting mainly of cold meats and local cheeses at a rate of 25 € / person *

*Excluding drinks. Our wine list is at your disposal to accompany your meals.

Can I request changes from the menu?

We do not have a restaurant but offer a Table d’Hôtes service and are therefore unable to modify the Menu drawn up by the Chef. However, of course, in case of food allergy do not hesitate to inquire with our chef Timothée at 02.31.20.31.81

How do I know the composition of the “Dîner du terroir”?

Our Chef elaborates his Menus according to the seasons and the products available, you can ask us by email or by phone a few days before your arrival.

Is the Table d’Hôtes available to customers outside the Ferme de L’Oudon?

NO. Our dinner service is only reserved for our guests.

BREAKFAST

Are breakfasts included in the price of accommodation?

Breakfasts are included for any reservation of our Rooms or Suite.

They are offered at an additional cost to the hosts of our Guesthouses, at a rate of 20 € / adult (15 € / child under 12).

Where is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served in the breakfast room in our “Winter Garden” for our Suite and Room guests, but can be served in accommodation at an additional cost. Breakfast room service costs € 20 per day / service for guests of Bed and Breakfast and Suite and must be booked at the latest the day before 6 p.m. The breakfast of our hosts is only served in accommodation.

What are the breakfast hours?

Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.

What does our breakfast consist of?

It consists of different kinds of bread, pastries, eggs, local cheese and cold meats as well as verrines and other homemade products.

(Update July 2020: during the state of health crisis breakfasts will only be served in accommodation at no extra cost. We are extending the hours of the breakfast service from 8:30 am to 11 am)

THE SPA

Does the reservation include access to the Spa?

Access to the Spa is included for all reservations at Ferme de L’Oudon

What are the Spa hours?

The Spa is accessible to all guests from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What does the Spa include?

Our Spa includes access to the indoor swimming pool, herbal tea and infrared sauna.

How to benefit from access to the jacuzzi?

You just need to book one of our equipped accommodations: Blue Spa, Eden Spa or Spa Majorelle.

How to benefit from access to the hammam?

All you need to do is book our Blue Spa Suite, the only accommodation to be equipped with a hammam (this suite also has a jacuzzi and a gym)

Good to know: the Spa does not have a Jacuzzi nor a hammam

How to benefit from a private access to the swimming pool?

You just need to book our Pool Suite. This Suite offers you private access to the swimming pool from the lounge from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next morning

How to benefit from access to the infrared sauna privately?

Just book our Eden Spa Suite. This prestigious suite offers you direct access to the infrared sauna from the living room. Access the sauna privately from 8 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next morning.

OUR SPA TREATMENTS

What days are available for booking Treatments?

Treatments are available from Wednesday or Sunday inclusive. You will find below the menu of our treatments.

When and how to book a treatment?

We do have special offers including 2 massages of 30 min per stay. These offers can be booked online on our site.

If you wish to book another type of treatment, you can contact our Romanesque Practitioner directly at spa@fermedeloudon.com by formulating your request.

In order to guarantee availability, we recommend that you book your treatments as soon as possible and at least 48 hours in advance.

Is it possible to book a “duo” treatment session?

No, because we do not have a duo cabin to perform this type of massage.

How to pay for Well-being Treatments?

Well-being care services are subject to a separate payment, these will be payable during your stay by credit card or cash.

CHILDREN

What accommodation is the most suitable for a family (with young children)?

The most suitable accommodation for families with young children is our houses Le Pressoir and La Lagune

Are baby equipment provided?

We have cots, baby baths and high chairs. Do not hesitate to ask us when you make your reservation.

LAUNDRY

Is linen provided in the accommodation?

Yes, all bed linen and towels are provided for our guests of the Houses, Suites and Rooms.

ROOM CLEANING

Do we have to do the cleaning before leaving the accommodation?

Departure cleaning is included in the rental price for our Suites and Rooms. However, we ask our guests from the Houses to do the cleaning when they leave the Houses (Le Pressoir, La Lagune, Le Spa Majorelle and Le Lavoir) and ask that the accommodation be returned in the same state of cleanliness as when you arrival.

A “cleaning package” at a rate of 80 € and bookable in advance is available if you do not want to do the cleaning at the end of the stay.

ANIMALS

What animals can I see at La Ferme?

You will be able to observe our farmyard with its rooster, its hens, its turkeys and its ducks. Our dwarf goats, our Vietnamese pigs will also be delighted with your visit. A little further on, our shetland pony Nautilus and her friends Quetsche the ponette and Bernadette the donkey will be looking forward to your caresses. You will also be able to see our ornamental hens and their friends, the dwarf rabbits and guinea pigs.

Are there special activities with animals?

You can pet and feed the different animals.

Is it possible to enter the animal enclosure?

For security reasons, it is not allowed to enter the animal enclosures or the henhouse.

Are pets accepted on the Farm?

We do accept small dogs (-10kg) for a fee of 20 € / night / animal. We ask that dogs are constantly kept on a leash within the property and that their excrement be collected. Likewise, your companion must in no case be left alone in the accommodation. A kennel is at your disposal if necessary. We ask our owner hosts to ensure that their accommodation (Room, Suite or House) is returned in a satisfactory state of cleanliness. Otherwise additional household costs may be charged.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Do you offer Gift Vouchers?

Yes, we do indeed offer gift cards. Offer a well-being stay, romantic or nature. All our services can be added to our gift vouchers! The Standard Tariff of the Rooms, Suite and Houses apply for any purchase of our gift vouchers allowing the person who receives it to reserve when desired without restriction of date (subject to availability). We ask for full payment and name refundable by credit card with the purchase of the gift voucher. We will then send you your gift card by post or email depending on your choice.

How long is a Gift Voucher valid for?

Gift vouchers are valid for 1 year.

PAYMENT

When is my reservation paid and what methods of payment do you accept?

Depending on your offer, you can pay by credit card or cash on arrival or remotely, by direct debit from your credit card, before your arrival as part of our promotional offers.

CANCELLATIONS

What are the cancellation conditions for a stay in a guest house?

Except for our promotional offers which are non-cancellable and non-refundable, any cancellation or modification 15 days or more before your arrival will entail a cost of 30% of the stay. Any cancellation or modification less than 15 days before your arrival will entail a cost of the entire stay.

What are the cancellation conditions for a stay in a Bed and Breakfast or Suite?

Except for our promotional offers which are non-cancellable and non-refundable, any cancellation or modification 5 days or more before your arrival will not entail any cost. Any cancellation or modification less than 5 days before your arrival will entail a cost of the entire stay.

(Update: in the context of the health crisis we have relaxed the rules for cancellation conditions. Free cancellation for any cancellation of stay in Rooms or Suites at least 4 days in advance. Free cancellation for any cancellation of stays in House at least 10 days in advance Beyond this cancellation window the entire stay remains due In any case please refer to your booking confirmation on which the cancellation conditions are clearly indicated of your stay).

MISCELLANEOUS

Is it possible to install an extra bed to accommodate an additional person?

We are unable to install an extra bed in any of our accommodations. The number of people provided in the reservation is the maximum number of occupancy.
